A regular to LinaSax has pointed out this fantastic site for the quantity of excellent Jazz material that's available, including full scores, big band scores, solo transcriptions, CDs, performance videos, fake books etc. Their service is outstanding too. Check it out - you might be there a while!!! Great site!
This is the ultimate resource for all your saxophone needs/desires/questions. There's also the greatest saxophone related Discussion Forum with hundreds of posts a day, articles by some of the best saxophonists, and loads more. But don't take my word for it, pop along and see for yourself!!
The site of the best saxophonist in this area (Essex, although available anywhere!). Available for session, gigs, studio, and of course personal tutoring! Guessed it? Yep, my teacher! Brilliant style and energy - and a fantastic guy. Nip over and check him out...
Here's Wade Walker's site devoted to the C Melody - plus much more! A wonderful resource for many facts of Saxophone - from transposing charts, to frequency in Hertz for various notes. Also a great link there for different types of Saxophone - plus a link to some very rare saxes. Great site!
A list of all the sites available in the Sax Ring. This is the perfect way to find many of the fantastic sites out there relating to all things Sax!
Steve Goodson's Site offering instruments for sale, services, articles, reference libraries for vintage sax's and sax players in general and a Saxophone history. Plus loads more, including a quarterly newsletter. Huge amounts of info here.
You have GOT to see this! These saxes are something else entirely, especially the 'Endangered Species' collection... BE WARNED: this site is best viewed without any form of credit card info to hand!! Nothing else to say - enjoy!
The only place to go for all your learning and practise needs - whether you're a beginner or advanced, there's tonnes of info here - as well as ways to order many of the Jamey Aebersold play-along books and CD's, a must for all levels of practise. Also an online Jazz Handbook, a virtual bible!
David Pope - Saxophonist, Composer, Clinician. Here are some super articles that have thoroughly inspired me. Also, you can find links to Saxophone Journal and Jazz Player magazines, plus some less-sax sites like Vegetarian Links(?!), the Hubble Space Telescope, and a link for the Naqshbandi Sufi Site (?!?!)
This is a HUGE site! I cannot possibly begin to describe it here, but take a moment to visit it and you'll soon see what I mean! You could spend a lifetime on this site, yet not feel like you've seen a quarter of it. Brilliant.
